How Kapsel works

A Kapsel is a shared memory capsule. You collect notes and photos from the people who matter, seal them away, and open them all together on a day that means something.

    Start the capsule

    Give it a name and two dates: the last day people can write, and the day it opens. Add a cover photo if you like. No account, nothing to install.

    Share one link

    You get a share link and a printable QR code. Anyone who has it can add a note and up to four photos from any phone — they never need to sign up either.

    Everything stays sealed

    While the capsule is collecting, people can see who has contributed, but nobody can read a single word. Not other contributors, not even you.

    Writing closes

    On the closing date the capsule locks. From then on it just counts down — a quiet page showing the title, cover, and how long is left.

    It opens together

    On the opening day the whole capsule unfolds into one keepsake page: every note, every photo, everyone's name. Share it back around, or print it.

Good to know

  • Keep your manage link. When you create a capsule you get a private link that lets you edit the title, change the cover, or extend the closing date. It's the only way back in, so save it.
  • Contributors can change their mind. Everyone who writes gets a private link to edit or withdraw their note, right up until writing closes.
  • Nothing is public. Capsule pages are not listed anywhere or indexed by search engines — the only way in is the link.
